Linda O’ Connell Podiatry was established in March 2019. Linda graduated from The National University of Ireland, Galway in 2017, with a Bachelor of Science (Hons), Podiatric Medicine Degree. Throughout her four years of college she gained a wealth of experience in a public setting, Merlin Park Podiatry Clinic, where she worked alongside many experienced podiatrists in all aspects of podiatry: wound care, diabetes assessments, podopaediatrics, lower limb biomechanics, nail surgery and routine podiatry treatments.
Linda has completed a postgraduate programme in NUIG on The Management of the Diabetic Foot. She hopes to complete a Masters in Podiatric Medicine which will broaden her knowledge and overall skill set, greatly benefitting the practice. Biomechanics, the study of how the body moves, is an area in which she has a particular interest.
Linda currently works in Spiddal Medical Centre for Toetal Care Podiatry, on 7, Eglinton Street for The Western Podiatry Clinic, Bon Secours Hospital Galway and in various nursing homes in Galway City and County.
