Also known as Onychauxis, is a nail disorder resulting in abnormally thick nails. The most commonly affected is the two big toenails. Trimming the nails can be extremely difficult to treat and may result in pain while walking. Left untreated, the nail plate may separate from the nail bed potentially resulting in an infection.
