Ingrown toenails are an extremely common issue which can affect any of the toenails. It occurs when a section of nail pierces the skin on the side of the nail and often results in infection.

There are many causes of ingrown toenails including heredity, tight footwear, trauma and even wide shaped nails that don’t grow upwards but inwards.
